Random periods of time do not have an 'evening' and a 'morning'. only 24 hour solar days have those. ----------- Director12, the Bible reveals that the creative “days,” or ages, encompass thousands of years. A person can see this from what the Bible says about the seventh “day.” The record of each of the first six “days” ends saying, ‘and there came to be evening and morning, a first day,’ and so on. Yet, you will not find that comment after the record of the seventh “day.” And in the first century C.E., some 4,000 years downstream in history, the Bible referred to the seventh rest “day” as still continuing. (Hebrews 4:4-6) So the seventh “day” was a period spanning thousands of years, and we can logically conclude the same about the first six “days.” Science confirms this. The universe is so big that measuring it in miles or kilometers is like measuring the distance from London to Tokyo with a micrometer. A more convenient unit of measurement is the light-year, the distance that light travels in a year, or about 5,880,000,000,000 miles [9,460,000,000,000 km]. Since light is the fastest thing in the universe and requires only 1.3 seconds to travel to the moon and about 8 minutes to the sun, a light-year would seem to be truly enormous! If as some believe Genesis 1:1 referred to the first creative day of 24hrs around 6000yrs ago light would only be visible on earth from their source if they were less than 6000 light years away, which is not the case.
