Who knows about Rand plough? The whole Rand + Tribune + so many other related parties in bed together has a stinky smell!
TBR and RND looked good on the surface until I looked into the management and ownership. Besides the strange decision making that would feel oppressive to me if I was a shareholder, there is a hazy looking deal involving RND and iron ore in Africa. Looks massively dilutive to the point of transferring value to sweethearts.
I'm not even sure about short term trades on RND as the liquidity is poor.
With regard to NST, I do feel anxious about the new relationship with TBR and RND (basically the same person/people) in EKJV. It would not surprise me to see attempts at buying them out of EKJV, if not sooner, then most likely later.
I noted in BB's presentation to the analysts that the NST bid to Barrick was not the highest. Would not surprise to find out that TBR made a higher bid, but didn't win due to challenges of ability in managing a mine full time and full on! Maybe/maybe not?
