The game has begun.....Could place all those MA values into a system/strategy and BT over say the last 10years of LYC and the result would be that a trading account would be totally decimated, 100% shot, all over.
They are imo totally of no value at all. In a sideways movement they will become that scrambled that the little fellow down below would be begging that we let him fry. The MA system that I've seen around here is not highly regarded amongst anyone that I trade or invest with. imo a knowlegdable user would improve their chance of success by concentrating on a system that incorporates both price and volume, throw in some divergence, some momentum would not go astray as well.
Just to prove a point of my above comments, will do exactly as said, and construct a simple system with the MA parameters that have been mentioned. Will then add a stop to the system to create a strategy and BT it over the last 10years. This will produce a detailed report which will include the amount of trades taken, the win loss ratio etc etc, and the loss ratio would be over the moon.........
