Feel free to point out where my logic is wrong here, im simply trying to work it out.
If animals have no shot at eternal life then the death of a human worthy of heaven should matter less than the death of an innocent animal. Because one goes to paradise the other no longer exists.
Jesus killed and ate fish. So either they have a soul worthy of a shot at eternal life, or he simply did not care? (less likely?)
As a Christian what is your take on it, assuming you eat meat?
