And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission"
how could shedding the blood of an innocent animal wash someone's sin off?
it is said that god gives us free will. and thus we are responsible for our deeds. so logically it is our own blood that should be shed to pay off our sin. why is it necessary to hack innocent animals then?
