Guys, this quarterly is basically a progress report on a company-making deal with BBI/Alere. An extremely positive progress report.

The Chinese IVD and Philips deals have never been my focus because of the inherent flakiness of the companies involved. We know Philips scientists think our product is incredible, but the top brass want to make it work with their original idea first (no matter how technologically inferior), but if we can convince them otherwise then we're in. It's still very much in play.

Pride is the major impediment to progress with both of these companies. Philips want to make it work their (clearly inferior) way and the Chinese company sees it as a "source of pride" that they use their own (clearly inferior) beads. These were always going to need work and re-work.

I'd love if these deals went through tomorrow, but honestly, WHO CARES ABOUT DELAYS IN OTHER PROJECTS WHEN WE HAVE A COMPANY-MAKING DEAL COMING WITH A $2BN-SALES MARKET BEHEMOTH? This is by far the biggest deal we have on the cards (and most potential) and this WILL go ahead (barring any unforeseen disasters).

It's understandable that people get lost in the minutiae of these announcements, but you must step back and see that we are about to sign with a giant of the industry, providing us with well in excess of $10m a year. The instos get on board because we are cash flow positive and the others sign because they know the market leader has done their due dil. But of course you can sell now if you are averse to future dividends.
