On the ABC a few weeks ago there was a specialist from one of the major teaching hospitals in Sydney. He was talking about after death experiences, which he has some real curiosity about.
He sees people die every week. He often there. He has also been there when more than afew people who looked to be dead from their lack of pulse etc suddenly came back to life again. It happens. He has apolicy of asking what they could remember. On a high proportion they can recall being above their body and leaving the room in an upward direction. They could not only describe the room they were in, but also the rooms beside it and what had been going on in them and what was in them. These rooms they had not entered because they were staff only and locked off. On one occasion he related a fellow whose last and greatest wish was to see an old mate of his on the south coast.
He died and after a while came back. He undied. But even more starngely, his wifes mobile went off and she was told by the family of his friend that he had just appeared there beside his mates hospital bed in a south coast hospital and had a good chat and a laugh with him while the family was present, and then went off. Did his wife know he was down there?
I mean this reporter of this was the resident specialist!
How unscientific is it to ignore evidence like this?
I have been out of my body before, briefly. Remember the experience clearly. Was in real trouble but was not ready to die. Had some work to do first.
To top this off one of my daughters was quite psychic as a kid. She was sitting on the back seat of the car as alittle girl with her little sister. I was humming away just ambling along. They were smiling at me, amused.
The eldest said "Daddy, were so glad we are with you. Last time we were alive we both drowned at sea...."
Phew...
Earlier by a few months I took St Johns wort with alcohol. Not a good idea. I had a temper fit I can still remember. She (5yo) said, "Daddy who is that dog that just went from you and is hiding behind the car in the street out there?"
I said could you describe it? She did. Large dog with brown and black colouring and a white 'collar'. My old dog, my best most loved childhood friend! She lived for 17 years. She is still with me. In spirit. But my daughter could see her. Phew....
So I think animals must have spirits too. And who you love stays with you. Love is the bond. It outlives death of the body. Thats why it is SO important?
