lots of stuff on the net, about making yoghurt at home - which includes using UHT milk.
the sachets which came with the yoghurt maker ended up producing a thick yoghurt (ok - watso has only used one sachet). using culture from the first batch, watso is onto his third batch (ok - the third tub).
watso used to have a yoghurt maker, which had an electric warmer, and half a dozen small jars. making 1kg at a time, is a lot better.
nothing wrong with experimenting a bit - watso noticed that greek styled natural yoghurt sells for $5.50 for a 1 kg tub.
on the market, there is a "pouring yoghurt".
anyway, yesterday, watso cycled to the local iga store to buy some uht milk at $1 per litre, for yoghurt making - and picked up a 1.9kg marinated stuffed chicken for $5
