Last century, I went to the store to buy some things and found what I was looking for only AUS made. That is for me, as I reckon jobs for the country boys was a good thing.
Went to the shop this week in the big city and found it hard to get the products I wanted. No soup that I buy, no tuna that I buy and the tomatoes (Canned due to recipe) was not AUS at all.
Asked for the manager and was told this is what customers want. I giggled and said it must be the polluted air and water as where are their taste buds :-))
ON topic: Any way give that big company money just so the internal rate of return is right "Garbage"

Is this nation so dumb not to realise that food security and (water, telecommunications, health) must be owned and operated by the locals???
Just because it is grown here does not mean it is always safe, but at least there is controls that can be traced!
when you start looking at some of the main food lines and then their corporate belief systems of some of the companies it is quite interesting.
