My apologies to the board for going off on a tangent! But, I do thank you for bringing me back to earth with the humor.
I was endeavoring to show that HD could have excellent results (As measured by the patients best possible improvement) but I am afraid that will not be the case.
The tangent I unfortunately went down was the CLK1 potential of PBT2, which is still excellent in itself.
What I unfortunately crossed was the Protein Homeostasis line.
I feel that it will be from this angle that Prana's patented use of the 8-hydroxyquinlonine geometry will come into its true calling.
From the information I have read about CLK1 and its presumed two iron ions (and niches for the metals), PBT2 or another of Prana's MPAC's should easily be able to influence it.
The real meat and potato's of CLK1 control though rests with getting Prana's 8-hydroxyquinlonine geometry to be used by the CLK1 sensor protein. If this is possible, then improved cellular communication and actual self DNA repair is possible. For this last bit about DNA repair, I read it like all DNA isn't necessarily bad in all cases and that sometimes the cause of why the DNA is corrupted just needs to be resolved. Just like we tout Metal Homeostasis, this is only 1/2 of the total answer for the full answer, we must include Protein Homeostasis as well. I feel this is our best bet for a natural cure rather than going after the Gene blocking belief.
I would very much for Prana Biotech to go down this Protein Homeostasis road in the future, because only if they do, do I suspect something will actually get done!
