This term came about in early 1980s as a move away from creationism as a term that was taking a bit of a battering. It was only in the early 1960s that evolution was permitted to be taught in schools in the US.
God is not intelligent - rather, all-knowing. Intelligence is a measure of knowledge. God being beyond any limitations.
Design - well, unbound Creation is hardly design.
I worked in marketing - this is the kind of rubbish I would have come up with to wrap Creationism in a new skin.
Sorry to say, Creative Design is just todays name for Creationism. Some enlighten group will think of a new logo for you all to rally around in the future.
