@markvl - I'm unsure. But the point still stands I'm sorry. If you want to test TnT/TnI levels you have to test them over the course of a number of hours if you're using the test to rule out a cardiac event. The kinetics of the appearence/clearance of the protein in the blood are, 2 (or 3)-6 hrs post onset of CP, then even upwards of 12hrs post the onset of CP. If a postivie is generated you re-measure/monitor it over say a 24hr time period to attempt to capture a "peak" level, then monitor it as the protein is cleared from the blood/serum in the following days/weeks post the cardiac event.

I agree with what you are saying, but unfortunately the biochemistry works this way, I didn't make it this way, it is what the literature states. Further as I have said, the adherance to RCPA and regulatory stuff is really the hurdle that would need to be cleared to make this work, even before you start discussing price/availability.
Also, on another note, although a true-negative TnT/TnI will rule out a cardiac event most people would want to find out why they had an elevated heart-rate or whatever their symptoms may have been and so end up down @ a GPs surgury or at a hospital anyway to try and find out what the underlying cause is/was. For example, a frequent immunoassay/test done with TnT/TnI is TSH, as the thyroid can have a role in causing both tachycardia and bradycardia.
