But there is another totally different issue that is not mentioned; profit. Everyone talks about the $A, foreign dumping etc etc. So if I may be so bold, how is any amount of money going to change that? The company will presumably still be losing money after any support. How long before more support is needed?
GM was losing, Ford was losing, Qantas is losing, SPC is losing, Electrolux is losing. All I've heard about all of those is some sort of capital injection from us taxpayers. Not one has a published plan to produce a profit.
