The so called decimation of the Goulbourn valley has absolutely nothing to do with the LNP. It's all to do with:
- union greed, demanding ever more money, without productivity offsets;
- a corporation that paid too much for an asset;
- a corporation that, due to past history of Australian Governments giving 'no string' handouts to corporations, believed it could con another Government, and the taxpayers, into even more generous handouts;
- cheap imports;
- a change in customer tastes.
Don't be conned by those with an axe to grind that this problem is, in any way, the fault of the Coalition. The writing has been on the wall for a very long time, and it is obvious that the coy paid far too much for this asset, and is more happy to pass he result of its mistake to the tax paying, tax weary, tax payer.
