There was another area around the Higgs mine that I thought we might hear a bit more about. From memory the deposit was a little smaller than the Stormont with a little more potential to develop into something as it was closer to the Hugo fault. This area is on the eastern side of the cradle mountain road heading down into the Forth River valley where some of the granite actually outcrops further down.
However, it will probably make more sense while all the machinery is over on the Stormont side to see if some of the other small loads are commercial. Once again from memory there was some interest shown in an area a couple of hundred metres further west of the stormont. I also wonder if as they have dug down at stormont they can see the deposit extending off under the basalt towards the SE following the fault.
One thing that puzzles me a bit is that I have not heard any talk about any credits from other minerals at Stormont. Was there not a fair bit of bismuth, silver etc..?
