Those of us who have traveled to Indo on numerous occasions know that there border security/customs is extremely lax.
On 2 separate trips to Bali i paid $20 aussie to a customs guy so that me and the family didn't have to line up in the queue. We handed over our 4 passports (which he didn't open) and the visa money and off he went. We met him out at the baggage carousel where he gave us back our passports complete with visa's etc. At no pint did a customs official look at me (or any of my family) and the photo in my passport. From there we walked straight through.
On 5 different occasions travelling through Jakarta they x-rayed my carry on back back, had no interest in my luggage at all.
I have met her sister on 1 occasion at the Bounty in Kuta, take 1 look and you can see where the dope was headed.
Why take dope to Bali I hear you ask? Simple, the local dope is crap, that is why people try to smuggle it (and other drugs) into Indonesia.
She did it, simple as that.
When she was caught the lot of them should have shut up and paid up the money. I can only assume that they didn't have the $10k or so aussie dollars that it would have taken to make it all go away...
