IMHO this is the same problem that all of our manufacturers have and giving them money will not fix the problems.

Even if the Government takes a share in the company and I have always been in favor of that approach as the government should not be giving money to a commercial enterprise except in exceptional circumstances it will only postpone the inevitable by X number of years and we will be back at the same stage again wanting another injection

You have to look at why all manufacturing is unable to survive in Australia and IMHO the root of the problem is Government policy.

Far too much red tape, restrictive regulations and governments which do not have any conception of what is required to operate a business of any sort.

With SPC just look at the absence of labeling laws. Accurate honest and correct labeling would boost the sales of their product enormously but the BIG stores do not want that to happen as it will make their profits suffer so the government throws companies like SPC to the wall so as to keep the big boys happy

Who are the government working for? Certainly not for the small people or the workers or small business
