giday nata12,
who in their right mind would lower the rent????
im certainly not lowering mine, im going to increase it,
unless your tenant has vacated and you are holding it for an extra couple of weeks,
if that's the case then yes you would have to lower the rent to get someone in asap,
the house and land package deals that are around atm are very appealing for the first home buyers in the burbs like baldivis, byford, forrestdale and the surrounding areas, etc,
still very close to town and affordable,
i was picking up the kids from school this arvo and one of the ladies in our estate mentioned that a property agent assessed her house at $600 per week rental, i laughed my head of at her and told her bull shit right to her face,
i said to her, to tell the real estate agent you must be on drugs,
if she can get $600.00 per week for her crap house then i can get $800.00 or more for my house,
my house is a 4x2, games room, theater room, study, pool, spa, chook pen, veggie patch, solar panels, sensational views over the valley and winery, 2 carport garage, wood heater, ducted heating and air con, all on an acre of land,
her house has none of what i have, absolute garbage i told her,
you will find that the rental listing are more than likely higher because some of the first home buyers are relising that they can buy their own 4x2 in the burbs for $300.00 per week with a $3000.00 deposit from keystart, home start etc,
i couldn't stop laughing when i heard the $600.00 deal, absolute garbage, still laughing my head off, lol.
