I think you've got your investor hat on and are thinking of everything in terms of share price.
There's little benefit to be had to the company by attempting to change the short time dynamics of the share price. If anything it would cause mistrust. It is the company's job to run a good business, everything else is secondary to that. If the business is good, the share price will eventually reflect it.
