Paddyboy, no need for the total spray (and the 13, so far, who have supported him with thumbs). I may be blonde but I am not dumb. I can work out very well for myself that ABU is comparatively illiquid (I trade SLR and SBM as well, and also profitably I might add).

I was simply trying to point out the irony of everyone discussing the relative impacts of POG and $AUS on this Forum when I myself thought there was very little impact ATM. I did say "as I reckon, something completely internal to ABU trading dynamics?". What I was trying to promote was that debate instead and yes, illiquidity is part of the answer but not the whole answer as it can be relatively liquid on some days (and not just days when there is an ann). And that mostly small liquidity, not SP, is the real mystery when ABU is already, and potentially, such a stellar performer (check out the SBM Forum for some massive criticism of its management, which is something ABU does not have).

In reality, you have vindicated the point made in my first post in this thread, but that seems to have gone over the heads of everyone else so far! Hahaha!!!

Chuk's answer was totally on the mark, and ABU has gone down over the last 12 months, just like all other Aus gold stocks because POG has gone down, but guru Chuk himself says "but they do not always drive ABU's sp from one day to the next" and that's the debate I'm more interested in having than ad nauseum debates about POG and $AUS. Don't get me wrong, I value that information, but I just felt the discussion needed to be more in the direction of what those other drivers are. And I'll say it again to make myself clear - something drives liquidity itself (which of course then drives SP) and that's what I am trying to understand.
