I think without a black swan property will indeed go north for a while yet.
All I have ever said is that the risks are great - massive really.
If per chance the japan/china thing did happen - we could be in seriously deep doo doo.
In fact, I would expect a high chance it could be devastating.
As far as I know we have never been exposed like this.
Also, it isn't unrealistic to think it won't happen - china and japan have been enemies in the past and a lot of that still sits very strongly under the surface.
imo, if it weren't for the yanks, I think they might be at war already.
buggered if I know what we can do about it here in Aust. besides watch - if I were a bank though, I would be minimizing the risks somehow - this could bring all our banks to their knees ----------- very rapidly.
