Whilst Ben Ikin (NRL commentator) was employed by channel 9 for commentary, channel 9 ran a story about his father, painting him in a very poor light for his business failings. Ben Ikin quit in protest.

Channel 9 hung Matthew Johns out to dry and made him do a ridiculous interview (of course for ratings) and Johns later quit the channel and joined 7.

I suppose they are in the business of making money (at anyone's expense).
