    WHO IS GOD?
All religions seem to apply a god as the great and all powerful creator of everything, even science applies its own version of the creation of the universe in a way that seems to imply divinity.
My own interpretation is to replace any reference to God with mother nature as it is nature that is responsible for all that is living and not living. Some people may interject with where did mother nature come from? It had to be created by god, but my trump to that is where did god come from? and of course these same people will argue there is no higher than god. Hence by that logic i can argue either there is no higher than mother nature or mother nature is god.
Mother nature allows for an austere system to produce living things in an effective way, any successful genetic variations becomes prolific while less than successful variations struggle to continue. These living things constantly adjust to environmental and predator/prey relationships leading to a positive fine tuning of all species.
Some species ie humans, evolve past this point effectively controlling their own evolutionary path, evolution becomes revolution, unfortunately a possible consequence of this may be de-evolution for a time, though i believe technology and our own insights can keep us on track, ultimately it's in our hands.
To date we have become something quite incredible, beings with multifaceted and diverse imaginations that search for answers on any subject, and have devised a theocratic system that attempts to make sense of the unknown and provide a sense of order to our world as we've tried to understand it.
We have settled on a few select religions now that dictate a faith based belief system and though it structured our lives reasonably well in the past, the present day and the future require a new paradigm.
I'd like to think that our minds may be given a chance to think freely, unencumbered, without fear or constraint and that our imaginations will transcend and align themselves to evidence based theories, though our imagination does need to be kept in check for evidence and fact does not come from stories and mythology, this is were i feel we have gone off the rails considerably.
Religion is simply a manifestation of our brilliant imaginations.
When it comes to god the main irony i see is that we have created god, not the other way around, if we openly question ideas and consider actual and factual truths we may move forward to a better understanding of our origins.
We gain more and more knowledge and with the application of this knowledge we, as a collective, become godlike, for humanity is the pinnacle that deserves the veneration that we apply to our imaginary gods.
