Hrmm,
Well I'm in two minds about Fuk and nuclear.
On the one hand, and from what I've read, it's a total disaster. The coverups, the downplaying by the Japanese media, the potential adverse affect on oceans (some evidence is mounting). I guess I'm not one of those guys that says "prove it's bad, otherwise it's okay" kinda types. It is serious, to be sure.
On the other hand I truly believe nuclear is (and will be more so) definitely a critical part of the global energy mix. Nuclear will be (imo) super important to ensure ample base load for both emerging nations and the dev. world.
I believe the way forward isn't to shun nuclear, just embrace modern safe techniques, and actually spend the cash to make sure it's a-ok. It is certainly possible
Not sure where that puts me in the scheme of things.
