    einstein, we're all on the same side mate, but

    "rubbish"!!

    You seem not to want to explore the evolution, the reality, the reason for our 'restructuring'.

    Blandly saying that:

    "lower wages and increase profits, then companys will at least survive and hopefully reinvest and create more jobs"

    is clearly showing you have no grasp of the complexity of the situation nor the ability to pose meaningful solutions.

    The situation now demands

    the de-evolution of unions,

    the freeing of wage restraints,

    a new political will,

    a determination by Australians not to let our prosperity slip through our fingers,

    meaningful taxation concessions to promote entrepreneurial investment,

    etc.

    As we have none of the above at the moment the restructuring process would be in it's early days. When the walls of our society start to crack and we realize that time is short then we can talk of the unthinkable.
