TO2GO - China does not import vanadium ore as it is basically illegal to import any low grade vanadium bearing products with less than 10% V2O5. They have to upgrade their material to have any value.

They import slags, ash and spent catalysts and also have their own local supply of slags.

All of these products are by-products and wastes..

I know of one small Chinese mob who mine some ore specifcally for vanadium, however only do so when V2O5 prices are US$ 20 / lb or higher otherwise not viable for them.
