Lord Haw-Haw …. William Joyce (24 April 1906 – 3 January 1946), nicknamed Lord Haw-Haw, was an Irish-American fascist politician and Nazi propaganda broadcaster to the United Kingdom during the Second World War. He was hanged for treason by the British as a result of his wartime activities, being believed to owe allegiance to the UK by his possession of a British passport, a document to which, ironically, he was not entitled. The Court of Appeal and the House of Lords upheld his conviction on one count of high treason.
