i think you will find that a lot of people will dis agree with you champ, its not as black and white as you make it out to be,
back in the old days it was a one income society, because life was simpler and cheaper to live,
these days it has become a two income society, because unless your on over $100k per year you would have no chance of bringing up a family and paying the bills and staying in front,
due to the increasing cost of just surviving two incomes will become the norm,
back in the good old days the woman would sacrifice 10 years of her life to stay at home to look after the kids,
then when the kids are old enough to look after them self, the woman would go back to work,
these days, the woman has to go back to work because once the maternity leave is over she has to return to work,
and the fact that oprah, jerry springer, doctor phil and the bold and the dumb arent on tellie anymore, they would be completely bored out of their brains,lol.
btw im a stay at home dad, i haven't worked for an employer for 6 years now, i have my 5 year old at school now and im looking after my 7 month old little boy,
i run my own business and look after the little guy,
my missus works and earns more than me,
its not a competition in my eyes, between me and my missus,
its about doing what i want to do and what i enjoy doing and paying my way the way i want to,
i don't follow rules and procedures very well like all the robots out there atm,
stand here stand there, sign this sign that, wear this wear that,
i used to work like that and i woke up one day and said to the boss, you can give my job to another peanut, im worth more than what your paying me and i deserve better than this, ciao,
he just looked at me and said okay no problems see you later, the rest is history,
to every body out there, don't follow the rules, make up your own rules and be the boss of your own life,
don't let someone else dictate to you how you earn your money, and tell you what your worth in the form of a lousy pay cheque, your job will be gone soon anyway,
okay now put your head down and get back to work, its not smoko yet and you shouldn't even be on HC reading posts and checking on your garbage spec stocks dreaming of the day you can tell your boss to shove his job up his clacker,
