I am also interested to learn more about this topic, I had the same question when BNB went down the tube (and took some of me with it). My understanding is that the shorts will be in the money, big time. They have sold at whatever, but say around $1 for the argument and if it becomes insolvent, they don't need to replace? Or, if they do, they will probably pick them up through one of those places that you sell them to @ around $0.001?
I would appreciate if someone more knowledgeable can answer, though maybe a topic for another forum rather than taking up FGE site, I think it may sound a bit trivial at the moment on here?
