Hi. First. Post. Ever. I'm amazed at the amount of conjecture that Prana has generated. Easily the most interesting shares that I hold.

Really, it's hard to judge the chances of success because it's the trial that proves or disproves the theory. There must be quite a few drugs where the science appeared good, but the trials proved otherwise. It's also hard to know how good the results have to be for PBT2 to make it to market. AD and HD have been very difficult to treat, so a small win might be seen as good enough especially if the drug has minimal downsides. Without knowing the criteria for success it's hard to get a feel for what may or may not be.

Some people have been impressed by the language of Prana's announcements. Yes, they do seem crafted with a good degree of optimism, but that can cut both ways and could be no more than a well-worded attempt to talk up a mediocre result. If the wording was chosen to get people enthused then they've done pretty well; however, until the results come out it's maybe not the best idea to base your investments on what could just be clever marketing.

Having made a few comments that could seem a bit negative, I'd like to add that I've been holding shares for a while and have no intention of selling until some time after the results are out. The potential on this is excellent, but there's a good degree of risk that needs to be accepted. These are not easy targets to treat.
