I thought I would start a new thread where no one can get into trouble or arguments about relevance.
For those who have a particular interest in the recent historical relationship to $A and $US POG I found this on another thread, submitted by Dangar.
"AUD high in Aug 2011 was about $1840
USD high in Sept 2011 was about $1920
If the USD PoG hits $1920 again with exch. at .90 USD thats over $2100 AUD, if AUD drops further to the .80 USD RBA target then we are up to $2400 AUD/oz!
A new AUD high would correspond to $1656 USD/oz at .90 USD/AUD, and just $1472 USD/oz at .80 USD/AUD."
In other words a scenario of $A falling to 80c would mean the $US POG would need to rise by only 12.5% (ie $1308 to $1472) for $A POG to reach its all time high. All of a sudden its in the ball park.
