Your comments are really useful and spot on.

There's one thing that bears reiterating (I think we've mentioned this before), and I'm reminded of it by your mention of shorts, which is that many of the other gold stocks are played heavily by shorters which means that the swings are often more pronounced than otherwise would be (I'm currently trading AGO (iron ore though) and it has a relatively high proportion of short-holding punters which makes for an interesting game), and of course the fact that there's no ability to short ABU removes that factor in volatility. Perhaps something to be grateful for at this stage.
