    bowral,

Everybody is entitled to an opinion - no doubt about that.

For me, the question is whose opinion do I take seriously?

If the subject is biology, then I tend to take those who work in the area more seriously than others. If it is physics then physicists... etc.

If theologians have an opinion on science then I tend to favour scientists over them.

If people are really interested in the answers to specific scientific questions, I suggest that they do their own research as I would often have to do so to answer them.

Lack of specific knowledge by individuals does not debunk science. If I can't answer one of your specific questions, doesn't mean their isn't an answer. This doesn't support what appears to be your anti-science position.

PS I have listened to some debates between theologians and scientists and felt that for the scientists trying to stick to rational thinking in the face irrational arguments was like trying to play chess with a chicken. They just kick the pieces all over the place, do what chickens do best on the board, and claim victory when the scientists walk away.
