Once again I am surprised at Linc's knowledge or maybe it is just how it gets reported. Cedar Point is not a new field. It has been produced for years, no doubt cored analyzed and long term production profile has been built up. There is no excuse for not understanding the permeability of the formation. Linc flowed 1000 bpd from their first horizontal, That is the formation talking to you, "I can flow at this rate". If that flow slows, it is not the rocks getting tighter. The rocks don't change, not unless we are talking thousands of years, but wax could be the issue. But as Mark says and has hands on experience that can be fixed in the short term. Maybe they had calculated higher flow rates, but don't blame the drop in flow on the rock, maybe a poor initial flow rate, but not the drop in flow.
