Suicide is more likely to be the domain of the well off on easy street. You only have to look at the overdoses of the wealthy etc.. per capita
If you are truely suffering you get killed by your repressors.
The sad thing for me is Dawson was so lost from the real world she felt the need to commit suicide from her apparent perceived troubles.
I suspect if you are about to be stoned, gang raped etc.. you are a bit more in a bit of a world of worry than Charlotte.
Just saying... and it is pretty pathetic her so-called support network couldn't help her with her perceived reality and help her see the light.
