Nicky, I have experienced personally the result of depression and certainly know how impossible it is to control and deal with. So true it is difficult to treat. I lost a very good friend who was as happy as hell as he was to be a grandfather who I spent many a long night on his boat fishing. It then followed with my wife( japanese ) who could not deal with the life she had with her father.
Yes I struggle with those events but I am blessed with the strength to deal with it. YES YOU ARE SO RIGHT YOU DO NOT WANT TO HEAR WORDS of encouragement or any other cliche.
I said PERHAPS. To know the devastation you leave keeps me on a level keel. I am blessed with that strength.
I have a mother + child I support in Thailand. That inspires me. I wish I did not meet this couple as all I think about is doing all I can and not let the daughter down.

summing up yes I do know all about depression and how hopeless it is to deal with it. How there is no known reason for it or method to successfully control it.
