The Maari phase 2 development costs will be included in the current liabilities as the company had committed to this expenditure. With fixed overheads (FPSO & tanker), the economics of Maari will change significantly with increased production.
I hate to see lazy money sitting rotting away in cash, it makes a company a takeover target.
With plenty of prospects in NZ, NWS, Indonesia and development of discoveries in PNG ... That cash should be working harder
