i see that old story of "we must keep it all a secret so we don't get bought out" is back again! how old is that story now? 6 or 7 years?
Got to laugh at nonsense like that. There isn't a shred of evidence to back such a claim and never was.
Brett,
Are you serious? Clearly CDU know what they have put into each part of the ore stockpile. Other companies that I have looked at happily provide good info on what they have mined. Why not? The shareholder has the right to know.
If the stockpile contained an unusually large amount of ore, it would be market sensitive information and CDU would have an obligation to announce that info.
I can only assume that what is being mined is not at all remarkable and therefor no announcement is needed to inform the market.
What is the point in saying some is at 4%? That statement has no meaning on its own. is that 1 tonne at 4% or is it 499,000 tonnes? other companies clearly tell us they have mined x tonnes, Y tonnes is waste and z tonnes is sitting on the stockpile at this percentage. decent clear information that you would expect from a miner.
Lots have posted in the recent past that we will all know what is there when they start mining. Well no-one yet knows because it will only happen if CDU announces details of what is being pulled out and what is going to stockpiles.
There isn't any sensible reason to hold back on such information that I can think of.
