One thing that I don't think is clear to everyone.
The fastest way to accept the offer is to email or call your trading provider directly and instruct them to do it for you. They are able to do it electronically in most cases. As such, you are likely to be able to accept the offer all the way up to Thursday lunch time.
Of course, my disclaimer.. Call your provider yourself and get them to tell you when you must provide instruction by.
There is no need for the postal service to be involved!
