So I have attempted to get a better understanding of the PRRT (cheers to Ya, Anglo and OGG for your thoughts).

Could DLS have done the following?

Combining projects
Under certain circumstances, two or more petroleum projects may be combined and treated as a single project for PRRT purposes.
An entity that wishes to combine petroleum projects needs to lodge an application for a combination certificate with the Resources Minister within the qualifying period.
An entity that lodges an application to combine projects needs to be entitled to receive at least half of the receipts from the sale of petroleum or marketable petroleum commodities (MPCs) produced in relation to each of the projects it wishes to combine. If the entity is part of a consolidated group, the group needs to be collectively entitled to receive at least half of the receipts.
An onshore project can be combined with an offshore project if the Resources Minister is satisfied the projects are sufficiently related and the onshore project did not exist before 1 July 2012. In these circumstances, the combined project is treated as an offshore project.
The North West Shelf project cannot be combined with any other project.

As I understand it, the ACER assets, in particular, the Flax/Jupiper fields have a large tax 'loss'.

PEL 91 has had a huge amount of capex spent on it over the years, so with multiple fields, the Bauer plant, pipelines, 3D/2D seismic, wells etc etc. I still am having trouble understanding the differences between BPT/SXY/DLS.

Of course, the best thing for me would be to speak to the relevant companies, but as some may know, its not always easy to find the time in a working week.
