If memory serves me, TAC was originally founded when the local residents discovered BLR was conducting prospecting activities at HT without the necessary authority to do so. I have posted this earlier with supporting information.

PAOtrader - I would imagine the approved mining site may have been in the context of conventional mining. Collapsing prices have necessitated the UBHM and AT approach. Everyone knows this resource would never see the light of day as a conventional mine until U prices go $80+.

The water usage around UBHM is the key problem in my view, not the licensing to use AT to treat the ore at surface. This is what the TAC folks will put a stop to.

BLR will not be allowed to draw water from the local creeks or aquifers. The Arkansas River is 6-7 miles away and any pipeline would have to pass over US government land which would constitute a major impediment for BLR if TAC fight it (and I guess they would).

The Cañon City Municipal water supply is 35-40 miles away and TAC will mobilize the city govt to block that as well.

I can't see HT becoming a mine in the foreseeable future, and in my opinion neither can BLR, that's why they don't spend any money developing it.
