    Wally, you make some interesting comments worth exploring.

    To my knowledge this area is already used for agriculture and livestock farming, albeit perhaps not at commercial scale. The water required presumably comes from groundwater aquifers of some form then. If that were true, and I stand to be corrected, but in such case the water is potable and used right now.

    My understanding is the TAC groups primary concern relates to the lack of groundwater control during the UBHM process, in addition to the vast quantities needed to conduct UBHM.
    There's concern about contamination/migration into potable water resources.
    Since UBHM has not yet been used in Uranium mining simply adds an additional element to the concern.
