"but i can imagine, in reality, a sociopath could only be curred by witnessing the suffering they cause to others, such as by watching/listening to victims"

But can a sociopath be cured at all ?
    I'm not sure ddzx.
Sociopaths take delight in causing the suffering in the first place. They actually get a thrill "watching/listening to victims."

Early/prehistoric man had to be vicious/homicidal to protect his mating rights. Back then, you killed any rival male vying for mating rights. The victor celebrated this too.
Can these vicious primal instincts be forgotten/discarded or are they permanently ingrained in our psyche ?
Seems to be the best explanation for sociopathic/psychotic behaviour.
