    Hi PerthFX ,

    No worries with your view on the future of property . I don't necessarily agree but I take your point about relying completely on history .

    I don't think there is any poster on here that thinks we are going to see the crazy gains that we had in certain periods in the past 20 years .

    That said , it doesn't mean that property won't continue to increase in price over time at around the inflation rate or maybe a bit better .

    My question is if posters are that convinced that property is up for a major correction , why aren't they selling all their properties ?

    As has been pointed out , yet can get pretty good value for money renting depending on circumstances so given that people are so sure that we're in for a correction , why aren't they selling ?

    P.S. I agree about the mine is bigger than yours stuff . It just makes me lose respect for the poster that says it .
