So with your rationalistic approach should your girlfriend be driving a car that is speeding, go through a red light a kills someone we should immediately take all her money, & her parents money, & possibly even her 33rd cousins money, if you were married to her, your money as well. Thank goodness & anyone else for that matter that you do not make the rules.
The only one to blame is the person who did the deed. There may be extenuating circumstances but the buck stops with the doer.
