I was very close to buying BLT 2 years ago, at that stage I never expected to see it hit $2. I probably won't buy this early on, I will wait for further results. I see the success in clinical trials on mice very encouraging as the hepatitis C virus belongs to the genus hepacivirus, this I think strengthens the validation to move to phI..
I think the molecular biology of hcv makes it favourable to ddrnai treatment.
The best chance for success is to design the ddrnai to block NS5B protein, once the virus mutates it replicates too many variants of the virus for 1 single compound to treat.
Anyhow I hope BLT is successful as people who have contracted hcv have been well over due for proper treatment.

I am very bullish on the antisense technology, in my mind antisense will be the biggest scientific breakthrough in our life time. Imo it will be the cure to all diseases.
