In terms of the TXT release on 7/12/05 it says
"Lewis B. Campbell, Textron's Chairman, President and CEO said, "After examining a range of strategic options for our Fastening Systems business and based on initial interest from a number of potential buyers, we're confident that our plan to sell the entire unit in one transaction will realize maximum value, and that we will be able to execute the plan in a timely fashion"
It seems that they didnt have to market too hard to find buyers given the initial interest.
In terms of time, its anyones guess how long this process will take. However Im sure its in TXTs interest to finalise this ASAP.
