Clive for all his faults has more in common with the Libs than Labor, so when it comes to the crunch he will side with them to remove the mining tax and viz a viz the Carbon tax.
He is now a politician and fancies himself as a wily one at that. He is merely positioning himself for the best benefit for himself (and maybe his party). However, in the end, as he was a member of the Liberal Party, I believe that his natural instincts and beliefs are for the betterment of Australian society.
Time will tell, and it his real credentials should be seen this year.
