I find it amusing to see the media driven "Acceptable" price of IO is either
a/ greater than $120 = booming
b/ less than $120 = China heading into recession and
miners going broke.
When FMG is profitable at less than $100t why the desperate drop in SP if it is not driven down by shorters?
PS: I don't count those who sell and buy back as shorters. I refer to those who borrow 5% of the company to sell down millions of shares daily to reduce the SP.
Those that borrowed that 5% parcel of shares did so around $5.20 so they will want a price south of $4.00 to be a worthwhile endeavour.
I accept the opinion of those that support the shorters but I do feel it is misplaced if they themselves are shorting less than say 500,000 shares a day hoping to make a difference.
