Mate, after charging monopoly rents for years, Telstra can go jam it. If you don't understand what monopoly rents means, it means unfair transfer of wealth from consumers to shareholders.
Telstra should be more concerned about more left field tech advancements. Say, for instance this Outernet project (free internet from space), although it has a few issues to sort out first.
